Runner Ducklings

I hatched 2 runners a few weeks ago, and they're SO cute! But, when I bathe them all they do is try to get out. They freak! Do runners just naturally NOT like water, or are mine just weird?! LOL

Re: Runner Ducklings

I did too! But maybe runners don't, since they run and don't fly? LOL I can't know!

Re: Runner Ducklings

My runners drown when I had them, adults, kiddy pool, drown! I think it was from mating in the water and the drake not letting them breath!

Give them more time, they should like the water, like all ducks. Might just be scared?

Re: Runner Ducklings

we can't seem to keep my DS's runners out of water!  They will finally be 4 weeks on Monday so I can let them get wet.  I can't wait!

Re: Runner Ducklings

Oh, they make a MESS of their brooder, playing in the water! I'll give them a few days and try a bath again!
