rescued 3 baby ducks (wild mallards, mom was playing in traffic) i think they just hatched one walks funny his legs are too far apart.
i really need help as how do i teach them to eat drink any advice.. i have medicated chick feed is that ok for them to eat.
i have 3 chicks 5 weeks old will they possibly help teach them.
the biggest problem im having now is they keep escaping they are so small put them in a cat carrier for now, guess ill clean out a bird cage for them (no pun intended)haha..

ducks will learn to eat and drink just as chicks do when raised in a brooder, just be prepared for a WET MESS!

i put quackers in a bird cage on the grass, so the mess isnt so bad yet,he is just so cute...i cant believe how high they can jump and are really fast my chicks are tolerating him, he just wants to cuddle with his favorite fizzle cochin, he can get lost in that hair doo.
i only have one as the others were too weak to make it,there is a learning curve..
(he likes to dig for cracked corn in his water dish)

im trying out names Chuck the Duck or James Pond after that recent comic someone shared.like chucky the ducky the most,quackers doesnt seem to fit anyone but me, still not sure if he will stay here or be homed to a friend.guess it depends if he gets friendly and fits in here, im working on a new area so he can run around with the chicks, they all cuddle at night.
