Abe, considering your age I think its time for one of your parents to get involved in your request. When that happens I think the others might feel a little more comfortable.

I have only showed once this year, at a local fair. I got 1st place buff silkie with one of my pullets. I will be showing my birds next fall though. If you would like to send me some pictures I would be happy to take a look at them for you. I do have the color standard on hand to refer to.

my email is sundownwaterfowl@gmail.com if you want to email them, or if you can send them through here thats fine also.

Re: Silkies Post Pictures of yours

Anyone know how to mark an egg so a hen won't push it out of the nest? i mark them but my silkie hen keeps pushing them ot of the nest. do the marks on the egg cause them to get rid of the egg, or just me handleing it?shrug
P.S. what color are buff silkie adults?

Re: Silkies Post Pictures of yours

I mark my eggs with a pencil and none of my girls have pushed them out for that reason.   There's got to be another reason they're doing it.

Here's my buff silkies
