Hi everyone!
I have two hens and 2 male pekin ducks. The pekin ducks are newcomers and I got them when they were around 6-7 weeks old. They were bullied by the hens when they were little but now that they're much bigger than the chickens, they're attacking them.
One of the duck is more aggressive and seems to be going after my sexlink hen (she used to pick on him when he was younger, so I'm guessing he's on full revenge mode). It's not terribly bad, he goes into his "football" stance and merely runs/slams into the chickens.
So my question is this, is it possible for 2 male ducks to co-exist with 2 hens peacefully? Or should I seperate them?
Most of the time they're peaceful, they even share the same resting spots. But sometimes I'll hear my sexlink hen clucking in panic and I know that the duck is chasing her. When I happen to catch him doing that, I push him down on the ground with my hands over his neck in a submissive mode. I don't know if it'll actually work though...

I can't help you with your problem since I don't have ducks, but I just wanted to say

He is trying to mate her... And can easily kill her once he gets her down. Without getting too graphic rooster mates a hen rather quickly and leaves, a duck will take up to several minutes to do it and the chicken can be crushed by him.
I will not keep any full sized ducks in with my chickens for this reason. Male ducks can be onery and once they pick a "mate" they will not let up.

Hi Bantychickmom!
I've lurked around this board long enough before I ever posted anything. So it's very nice to be speaking with other fellow chicken/duck lovers!
Hi Lilchick,
Thank you for your insight, I'm thinking of seperating them now. My back yard isn't too big but it's very long, so splitting it right down in the middle should be fine. Funny thing is, the pekins are terribly afraid of my other hen, they'll run when they see her.
