I have a one year old faverolle rooster who has 4 spurs; 2 on each leg, one right over the other. Is this a trait they have or is this an extremely unusual bird?

But I would love to see a pic!
Also,

Well, considering that faverolle hens have two toes where there should be one (also stacked one over the other), I'm guessing (JUST GUESSING!!) that it's probably normal, though I only have hens. Is your roo very loud?

Been away from the board for a while. I got a picture of the rooster's spurs so you guys could see what I am talking about. Now to figure out how to post the pictures.
I have been trying to figure it out, but just can't. I have never seen such a thing on a chicken! And kwaterworth, he IS loud!

I have a Faverolle Roo. They have 5 toes, so his spurs would be above those. The hens also have 5 toes. They look a little odd, and my Dorking has 5 toes as well.
Send photos....maybe this is an odd situation?

Wish I could send a picture. I just can't figure out how to upload one! The spurs are one right over the other. He does have an extra toe there just like all Faverolles do. The spurs are right above that.

Have you looked at some online pics of Favorelles? I have Houdans who are 5 toed as well. They do really look funny

look down all the pictures....there is a roo from France, and you can see his toes and spurs fairly well.
Mine has so many feathers on his legs, they are tough to see.
Do you use Photobucket to upload pics?
