Wow, you have some very pretty birds, Blisschick.
Well, you have all heard of my fave girl, Fussy by now. I got her as a chick from Orschelns, along with another EE that passed on due to cross beak issues. She looked like a hawk when she was younger. She still likes to jump on my shoulder so she can see what kind of treats I am chopping up! From what I have read of EE's, she is a LARGE chicken.
Here she is in the trash can trying to lay, wondering WHY I keep bothering her with that dadblasted camera.
And dustbathing in the front hall.

Not the best picture, but here is a shot of one of my girls:
I'm thinking of ordering some more, from a different hatchery, the ones I got last year are all the same color as the girl above...I would love some of the other colors, but I don't know how much luck I will have.
Edited to add:
And this little guy is one from my very first (and only so far) hatch. The eggs were all mine, and no one is seperated, so they are mainly Brahma mixes. I do have one EE roo though, that has alot of dark feathering. I'm thinking this is his chick

Edited again to add:
My EE roo

Here is my lone EE hen. I like her so much that I ordered a bunch more. Disregard the duct tape saddle. Another hen had been attacking her and that problem has been removed. She lays an egg almost every single day.

She's a pretty girl
I don't know, it seems that color/pattern is common, and I wouldn't mind some of the EE's with blue in them, or, wheaten maybe, but that brown and black, like what my girls are, is growing on me more and more, lol!
